Essendon captain Jobe Watson will be looking to win his second consecutive Crichton Medal next week after another remarkable season.

Watson maintained his consistent form throughout the 2013 season despite missing a month with a broken collarbone during the mid way point of the season.

He has already been recognised with All Australian selection and finished twelfth in his Brownlow Medal defence with seventeen votes.

The classy on baller averaged 27 disposals and 5 clearances a game this season to go along with 16 goals.

His consistency has become the cornerstone of his game with the ability to win the ball inside the pack and set up teammates by hand or foot.

The captain was at his inspiration best for most of his 19 games during the season, leading from the front in an emotion charged season for the side.
