Described as a ‘contested beast’ Charlie Curnow is an exciting talent that could potentially be one of the top picks in this year’s National Draft.

The younger brother of Carlton’s Ed Curnow, Charlie overcame an injury interrupted season to finish the season off strongly with the Geelong Falcons.

As displayed throughout his junior career, Curnow is more than capable of playing in a number of positions around the ground.

Standing at 191cm tall, he is most likely to be a handy midfielder who can also push forward.

Why pick him?

  • Big, strong and versatile
  • Potential to be moulded into a number of roles
  • Great running endurance
  • Major ball winner

AFL.com.au’s Callum Twomey says Curnow could potentially become a player similar to West Coast’s Jack Darling.  His endurance and attacking presence will be of major benefit to his future team.

Draft Range:

Curnow will place in the top-ten, but a precise number is hard to estimate given his injury interrupted year. Had he played more throughout 2015, he could have been a top three selection.
