Listen below from 4pm AEST to the sixth episode of club podcast Working Through It, hosted by Essendon greats James Hird and Jobe Watson and CEO Xavier Campbell.

Joining the trio on this week's show will be former Bomber Andrew Welsh and veteran defender Cale Hooker.

Welsh played 162 games for the Bombers after being recruited at pick No.47 in the 2001 national draft.

Since retiring in 2011, the former Bombers vice-captain has had huge success in property development. Now managing director of his company Welsh Group, the 37-year-old was named in the Financial Review's 2018 Young Rich List.

Hooker, who's in the midst of his 12th season and on the verge of 200 games (193), will reflect on his time at Essendon, what made him re-commit to the club despite significant interest from Fremantle, and what he loves about the Bombers.

Today's show is all about the excitement around footy returning and the Bomber faithful rallying together again.

You'll hear from stars Dyson Heppell, Dylan Shiel, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, Andrew McGrath and Michael Hurley, who will speak about the huge role fans will play for the rest of the season.
