Chief Executive Ian Robson said it was amazing to see people’s reaction as they realised the size of the new facility upon their arrival.
“It never ceases to amaze me the look of surprise and delight as people’s eyes go wow,” Robson said.
“Actually coming inside the building and getting a sense of the scale of it and all the facilities it is a wow factor and we are really excited to be able to share that with all of our key stakeholders.”
The 60x40 indoor training hall is almost complete with synthetic turf to be laid across the area over the coming weeks.
Despite the building not yet being complete Robson said the benefit of the new facility is already being felt by the club with the players training on the ground.
“The really exciting thing is that whilst the building is still under construction and is probably several months away from practical completion, the players have been on the oval since January,” he said.
The Bombers chief said the High Performance Centre is likely to set the foundations of the club for the next 100 years.
“It is fantastic to see a fit for purpose facility that is going to project and position the football club for the next 100 years in terms of the infrastructure you want to supply to the players,” Robson said.
“In a broader sense it is a statement of ambition on behalf of the club to its members, all of its stakeholders, to its corporate partners and as we saw last year with Brendon Goddard.
“Who wouldn’t want to come and be a part of a football club facility like this.”
