Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is on Thursday 24 May, and the Essendon Football Club is teaming up with the Cancer Council Victoria to encourage all Victorians to join in the fun! Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a great excuse to take a break and invite friends, schoolmates or work colleagues over for a cuppa – after all, every cup counts in the fight against cancer.

This year, the Cancer Council anticipates more than 170,000 Victorians will join in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and raise an expected total of more than $1.4 million. Funds raised will play a vital role in funding the Cancer Council’s lifesaving cancer research, education programs that help Victorians both prevent cancers and detect them at an early stage, and important support programs for people in times of great need.
Getting involved in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the 60 Victorians diagnosed with cancer every day is easy. While the official date for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is Thursday 24 May, morning teas can be held any time during the month of May. Why not register today?

The Bendigo Bombers are back on the winners list after putting an end to their four match losing streak, defeating the Frankston Dolphins by 23 points at Frankston Oval on the weekend. After allowing Frankston to control the momentum early and secure a 23-point lead heading into the first break, a diligent Bendigo unit fought unrelentingly to regain rule of the match. By half-time the Bombers had taken over the lead which they continued to build on for the remainder of the match to finish 23-point victors.
