Pears - who watched training at Windy Hill today with fellow recruits David Myers, Cale Hooker and Darcy Daniher - is 190cm, 92kg and is expected to develop into a quality key backman.
He recorded an outstanding 2.92 seconds for the 20m sprint – placing him in the top 10 percent of players at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft Camp.
