The Bombers have arrived in Coffs Harbour for their week-long training camp.

General manager of football operations Paul Hamilton said the camp would involve the usual weights and fitness based training but would have a greater emphasis on learning.

""Our five day Coffs Harbour camp will primarily focus on strategy and leadership and will involve a large degree of classroom based learning,"" he said.

""However, we will also be holding an open training session which is a great opportunity for locals to see the players up close and personal and we hope there will be a strong turn-out.

""We held a camp in Coffs Harbour last year and it was a positive experience for our coaching and playing group and we are looking forward to the week - the facilities are excellent and the people are welcoming.

""It is a great place to hold a training camp during a gruelling pre-season and we are happy to be here and help promote football in this area.""

Note: Essendon will hold an open training session at 10:15am, Wednesday 16th December 2009 at Advocate Park (cnr Stadium and Hogbin st), Coffs Harbour. The public are invited to attend.
