BENDIGO SKIPPER TAKES THE HONOURS
The Bendigo Bombers best and fairest function was held last night at the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club. The skipper Nick Carter took the honours with 92 votes and was awarded the best and fairest player for season 2003. Essendon listed players Ken Hall and Cory McGrath tied in second position with 68 votes and Shane Harvey finished in third place with 59 votes. Kevin Sheedy, Mark Harvey, Robert Shaw, Kevin Morris, Andrew Welsh and Marc Bullen were just some of the Essendon contingency present at the vote count in Bendigo.

Essendon’s best and fairest winner for season 2003 will be announced on Wednesday night at the Crichton Medal. It is set to be one of Essendon’s closest counts in recent years with a number of players capable of winning the medal. Congratulations to Essendon member Olive Schmid from Boronia, who was the lucky winner of two tickets to this week's Crichton Medal. Olive completed the 2003 Member Client Satisfaction Survey on the BomberLand website and as a result went into the draw to win the fantastic prize.
