John Coleman signature and neck label
As one of the greatest players of all time, John Coleman represents the essence of the Essendon Football Club and is the ideal player to be individually honoured on the heritage guernsey
His signature features on the chest of the guernsey within the traditional red sash of the Essendon Football Club on field guernsey.
On retail versions of the guernsey there is a neck label featuring an image, signature and key playing statistics to further honour one of the legends of the club
Also a key part of the heritage guernsey is the club motto ‘Sauviter in modo fortiter' in re which dates back to the 1870’s and translates as ‘gentle in manner, resolute in deed.’
Essendon Football Club wishes to advise that Dean Wallis will return to a matchday role as of this weekend after serving his 14 match suspension for betting on AFL football. General Manager of Football Operations Paul Hamilton said Wallis’ current position as Football Administrator will now be supplemented by a role on game day for the remainder of the 2012 season.
