Bendigo last night sealed a finals berthwith a 19-point win over the Box Hill Hawks at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

The win consolidates Bendigo’s spot ineighth position, ending North Ballarat’s chances of playing finals.

After leading by 32 points mid way throughthe second quarter Box Hill kicked the next seven goals to be leading by 11points at half time.

Bendigo came out fighting to begin thethird quarter and then in the last booted five of the last six goals to run out17.11.113 to 14.10.94 winners.

Travis Colyer was among the best for thehome side booting two goals as he dominated the midfield battle.

Big man David Hille got the better of hisopponent Broc McCauley taking control of the ruck dual from the outset.

Cory Dell’Olio played his best game for anumber of weeks, providing an important target up forward in a best on groundperformance.

Last night’s win ended a run of fivestraight loss for Bendigo as well as a two year hoodoo at Queen Elizabeth Oval.
