NT locals visit Bombers
Essendon Football Club hosted a number of locals from the Northern Territory at the club last week as part of the clubs partnership with remote indigenous communities, including Wadeye. In the lead up to AFL Multicultural round the club’s indigenous players joined William Gumbula from Galiwinky and AFL NT Regional Manager Craig Kimberley.

In the lead up to AFL Multicultural round the club’s indigenous players joined William Gumbula from Galiwinky and AFL NT Regional Manager Craig Kimberley.
The group took part in a Walk the Talk session aimed at explaining the Michael Long story.
They attended training on Friday morning and were then be special guests at the Essendon v Western Bulldogs match at Etihad Stadium Saturday night.
Essendon duo Jason Winderlich and Tayte Pears will make their return to football this weekend when they take to the field for Essendon VFL affiliate Bendigo. General manager football operations Paul Hamilton said it was exciting to see Winderlich return for just his second game in twelve months.
