Essendon’s Past Players Association has pledged their support to the Flight Plan initiative raising funds for the club’s new high performance centre.
Past Players Association President Barry Capuano was on hand at last Saturday night’s Chairman’s function to hand over the cheque to Chairman David Evans.
“From a past players point of view we are obviously keen to ensure Essendon remains strong on and off the field in the future and this new training facilities for the players will ensure that,” Capuano said.
“We have all been through our own eras and the time has come for Essendon to get facilities that are equal or even better than most other facilities because we have fallen well behind in that area.”
The Flight Plan tally currently sits at $728,922.
