The Bombers ended last week’s win over the Kangaroos with a massive amount of interchanges. Essendon made 155 rotations on Saturday night. The AFL has suggested this week that they may put a cap on the amount of interchanges a team can make in a match, sparking debate about how this rule would affect game speed, team tactics and the health and safety of players.

In this week’s poll we pose the question, ‘Should the AFL put a cap on interchange rotations in 2011?’

In last week’s poll we asked, ‘Which young player is most important to our future?’ Michael Hurley was the most popular response amongst voters with 36.84% of votes. Tayte Pears came next with 28.42%, followed by Scott Gumbleton with 14.11%, Jake Melksham with 10.32%, David Zaharakis with 7.16% and 3.16% of voters said that someone else was our most important young player.

Here’s what some Bomber fans had to say last week:

Tom Scanlon from Keilor says: what about Colyer?

Damien from Melbourne says: Tayte Pears is by far the most important young player for our team. Tayte being out of the side has had a bigger effect than losing any other player this year. Being without him for the past three games is a big part of the reason we've been so terrible.

Joseph Attard from Taylors Hill says: Without a doubt it's Pearsy. He always takes one of the best defenders, if not, the best defender and this lets Fletcher and Hooker have some breathing space to move around the defensive 50.

Sarah B from Victoria says: Melksham, he's focused young and a born-to-be superstar.

Haris Perona from Shepparton says: Jake is going to be of our Best future players and maybe future Captain he shows good leadership qualities.

Daniel Lowe from Tasmania says: Micheal Hurley is a legend because he can play both ends of the ground.

Stephen Zammit from Cairnlea says: I have supported the Essendon Football Club since 1963 and to my eye having seen some great players come and go in that period Jake Melksham has the same something that stands them apart. When I watch Melksham play I see a future captain of this great club, He's one of those players that always seem to have all the time in the world and the greats always give that impression. He has great skills on both sides and the ability to read the play. Hird was the same when he started.

Rod Hagen from Victoria says: What a fine bunch of young players we have on the way up! Colyer, Howlett, Hooker, Bellchambers, and Reimers could all certainly be added to the list of choices. I hope Jay Neagle will surprise us all in the end, too! We have probably the least experienced list in the competition when it comes to ""under 50 gamers"". They are truly going to wreak some havoc on opponents when they have a few more games under their belts!

Shane Nicholas from Victoria says: Melksham unlucky to be dropped given he is a very promising youngster, despite an average game against West Coast.

Baz from Australia says: David Zaharakis, he can kick goals and is quick, we miss that speed.

Grids from Vic says: Hooker for me is our most import player as he will free up Hurley for Forward Line

Angie Baron from Vic says: So many on our playing list are under 21. In my opinion, they are all our future. I was surprised to see David Zaharakis on the list, as I think of him as a seasoned senior these days :).

Jan Stott from Perth WA says: STOP PRESS! - TRAVIS COLYER. A slow start but like Phar Lap will be a star of the future, all class! Great skills! I think Travis has something special, mentally he will prove he is a great thinker, reads the play so well, and knows what he wants to do when he gets the ball.

Jibril from ACT says: Melksham for sure! He has shown himself to be a gem at elite level so far and really adds some depth and zing to the midfield. With the right balance of experience and development, I can only see him becoming even better.

Terrence from Balnarring, Victoria says: Young Jake Melksham has the making of a star, Quick, clean hands, good head on his shoulders and very brave...elite star in the making

Rowan from Sanny says: Got to pick Hurley, I saw a little bit last week of the mongrel that we need in this team. He has the body size and mobility to throw some weight around, and also some real football ability to go with it, capable to go forward and back

Jaden Frigo from Victoria says: I think Ben Howlett is very important as is Travis Colyer - from that list David Zaharakis looms as a very important youngster.

Leigh from Caroline Springs says: Although I think Zaharakis has been the most consistent of these players mentioned this year, I think Hurley will be one of the most important players to our club in future due to his versatility to play forward and back. He is already good and will only improve. He has talent, no doubt about it. I think we will see some big game breaking performances from him next year.

Jacob Bonney from Port Hedland, WA says: Zaharakis will prove to be the best of them all over a long career. When you think Zaharakis, think Mark Mercuri.

James Brown from Berwick, Vic says: they are all just as important as each other. Our young players (along with the forever young Dustin Fletcher who will never die) are the players that will take us into the future, so they are all important. All 5 players named here are key players to our success to come.
