MOORCROFT EYES SENIOR BERTH
Premiership player Gary Moorcroft is hopeful of returning to the seniors this weekend after an impessive return to footy in the Essendon VFL side last weekend. A hip injury has sidelined the pacy redhead for the past 10 weeks. ""It was great to get back out there on the weekend with the boys and it was a fantastic match to come back to as well. The hip didn't give me any problems which was also a real bonus,"" Moorcroft said.

The 26 year-old played three quarters swapping between the forward pocket and the centre. ""It was good to get a few kicks early and also kick a couple of goals - it lifts the confidence. You don't realise how much you miss playing until you get out there again."" Moorcroft has his sights set on a senior berth this weekend against the Kangaroos. ""I am looking forward to getting back in the seniors. I am ready to take the next step this Friday night,"" Moorcroft said.
Another bonus for the Bombers was the form of Aaron Henneman. Also returning from injury, Henneman played the entire match and got through unscathed. The 21-year-old held down the centre half forward position with bursts in the ruck. Both players are a chance for senior selection this Friday night against the Kangaroos.

After the spectacular win against the Swans at Stadium Australia, a group of Essendon players and Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy headed to the North Shore Bombers Footy Clinic the following morning. About 200 children attended the clinic at Gore Hill Oval organised by Essendon's affiliated NSW club - the North Shore Bombers. Bomber stars Steve Alessio, Scott Lucas, Dean Rioli, Mark McVeigh, Dustin Fletcher, Andrew Welsh, Blake Caracella and Joel Reynolds were on hand to help with the clinic.
