Kevin Sheedy says: I think it is history now that Damien came through the rookie system with Mark Johnson, Dean Rioli and Cory McGrath so to come sixth in the club best and fairest in 2002 was a fantastic effort. This year should be the year for him to consolidate his position in the team. We expect him to keep developing his game and he probably needs a 10% - 20% improvement to become a “top” player. Damien served a long five year apprenticeship.
