Essendon Football Club is pleased to announce its business partnership with Yakult has been extended for a further three years.

A key element of the partnership will see Yakult retain ball sponsorship for Essendon home games until 2009.

""The partnership was borne out of a player development tour to Japan in 2004 and has continued to strengthen from that time on and we hope it will continue to do so into the future.

""We have taken some early steps into the Japanese market from both a game development and corporate development point of view. A strong relationship with a renowned company such as Yakult certainly gives us added credibility in that market.""

Yakult Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr Ono is equally delighted with the continuation of the company’s mutually beneficial partnership with the Essendon Football Club.
