CHAMPIONS VOTING CONCLUDES
After 23 weeks, voting in the Champions of Essendon concluded last night. Keith Forbes is the latest inductee into the Essendon history books, polling more votes than Darren Williams and William Griffith. Only two spots remain in the Champions of Essendon and these two wild card entries will be announced tomorrow. The order of the 25 Champions of Essendon will be disclosed at the Gala Dinner on Friday, August 30th, culminating with the naming of Essendon's greatest player of all time.

Essendon now faces a tough task if it is to reach the finals this year after going down to the Adelaide Crows by eight goals on their home turf at Football Park. The Bombers tried hard all afternoon, but struggled to find enough of the ball in midfield and enough goals up forward to trouble the Crows. Our horror run with injuries continued with the early loss of Adam Ramanauskas with an ankle injury.
