Q. How big a blow, not just to the forward line but also to the side is the loss of Rioli for three weeks?
A. I think on top of the players that are out it is pretty damaging from that point of you. He is starting to play well, which is probably similar to Alessio who had a bit of time off - the up shot of that is that we might find someone else who is better, hopefully.
Q. What is your reaction to what he did - are you disappointed?
A. I am disappointed when players go up and get reported and are outed. Sometimes players go up and are not guilty - there is a bit of provocation there lets be honest, over the whole thing. You don't want to be giving penalties away in the match and you don't want to be losing players. We have a fit player sitting in the grandstand which is no value at all. From that point of view we might give Bannister or Bolton, who played very well last week, or Moorcroft a senior berth.
Q. Are you worried about how he might cope with the suspension considering the start to season he has already had?
A. Not really - I think he is more settled now than what he was earlier in the year. He knows that his team has all been working hard to give us all an opportunity to get to the finals this year. If it had of been another player it would be the same as far as I am concerned - Danny Jacobs or Aaron Henneman - three weeks out is not on but you hurt yourself anyway because you are not playing. Forget about everything else, the players actually do love playing the game.
