And while Sheedy wouldn’t get involved in the debate about his opposition’s game plan, he is expecting the unexpected from the Sydney coach.
""I wouldn’t be surprised if Roos goes out and says get it down there as quick as you can as and as long as you can and we have to be prepared,"" Sheedy said before tonight’s training session.
""We will be doing some drills tonight to handle it if they chip and kick the ball low with their 30 metre passes. And we will also be practising some drills for a team wanting to get it in as quick as they can to Hall and O'Loughlin.""
And it hasn’t just been the Swans with the close attention, with the Bombers on the back foot again after their performance against Brisbane. But Sheedy isn’t concerned about its affect on his players and isn’t making any excuses regarding the teams recent form.
""When the players are out there playing and trying to get the footy, they very rarely can remember what is said about their footy. They are playing on an opponent and have more things to think about to get a kick.
""We haven’t really got any reason to play poorly this week and some of our players would love to be playing better, but the way to build confidence is hard work, simple as that.""
""We haven’t got enough goals on the board to annoy the opposition at the present time, and we are looking for a new forward unit and that’s pretty important up there because they have a pretty mobile backline and defensive unit.""
Sheedy indicated there may be up to four changes for the side to travel to Sydney, including the forced changes with injuries to James Hird and Ben Haynes.
""We will really need to look at training tonight to see if who we will bring in. The players have been told there are three or four positions available, so put your hand up and go for it.
""We will consider David Hille and probably considering bringing in Tristan Cartledge. But it could be wet weather up there, so we have to be careful on how tall we are going to go,"" Sheedy said.
