“The Windy Hill Venue – and the Essendon Football Club of which we are a part – is genuine in its commitment to the broader community. It is nice to be recognised for what we do but first and foremost it is about ensuring we are making a real difference to the lives of the people we reach,” General manager of the WHV, Alan Burton said.
“The venue itself, and the football club, only exist because of the support provided by the community and we are very much of the view that we have a responsibility to give back to that community. I should take this opportunity to thank all the patrons that have supported our efforts over the past 12 months. The staff should also be thanked for their efforts and this award is also a result of all their hard work.""
