Leroy Jetta has accepted a one-match sanction for misconduct in that he made unreasonable and unnecessary contact to the face of James Frawley, Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round 15 match between Essendon and Melbourne, played at the MCG on Sunday July 11, 2010.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record.

An early plea reduced the sanction by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one-match sanction.

General manager of football operations Paul Hamilton said the Jetta did not want to risk a two match suspension

""He has accepted the decison of the match review committee and will sit out this week,"" Hamilton said.

""We want Leroy to play as many games as he can, play as much footy as he can after he missing quite a few games through games because of a hand injury in pre-season.""
