In honour of Essendon’s most vibrant star, Dyson Heppell, Mitchelton Wines and Essendon Football Club have produced a wine that is as compelling as the season Heppell has had.

Like the young debutant, the fruit for this 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is proudly Victorian.

The wine displays deliciously smooth blackcurrant and ripe plum flavours with leafy overtones. The premium wine is packed with flavour and is ready to drink now or can be stored in the cellar for up to five years.

Mitchelton’s history can be traced over the decades through the pervasive influence of Victoria’s Goulburn River and the unfolding narrative of its distinctive wines.

With an intimate understanding of the vineyard, the Mitchelton team recognise that each individual block bears fruit exhibiting distinctive flavour characters.

Heppell - who is honoured with this limited edition Cabernet Sauvignon – became the first Essendon player in history to win the NAB AFL Rising Star this year, after averaging 21.5 possessions in every game he played in his debut season.
