Emily Balm

After moving to Victoria, Emily found an unexpected sense of belonging through the Essendon Football Club and the community around it. What started as a simple way to feel connected (and meet a few people along the way) quickly turned into something much bigger. Essendon has provided countless memories over the years and remains a shared passion for Emily and her husband, one they now enjoy sharing with their two daughters. The club has remained a familiar thread through many of her most meaningful moments.

Emily is a videographer, content creator and editor who runs her own creative business, helping people and brands tell their stories in a way that feels visually engaging. She loves the ability to lean into the audience connection and the power of digital platforms to bring communities together in ways that didn’t exist a decade ago. Before this, she spent several years in corporate roles, including supporting executive leaders as well as working on international bids and tenders.

Passionate about connection, community and the way sport brings people together, Emily is focused on helping grow the EWN and creating more ways for members to connect, engage and feel part of something bigger than just the club.
