Katie Lio - Co-Chair
Katie Lio joins the Essendon Women’s Network committee as a lifelong Bomber. She is motivated by her want to grow and expand the reach of the EWN, providing value and connection to Bombers from all walks of life.
Katie’s history with Essendon runs deep. She served as a Non-Executive Director on the Essendon board from 2014 to 2022. From 2019 to 2024 she was President of the VFLW program — a voluntary, support-focused role providing the people running the program with a direct line to board level and the backing they needed to do their jobs well, including through the VFLW’s premiership year in 2022 (had to throw this one in)!
Outside of football, Katie is an accomplished operations and strategy leader, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Salt Lab, with a career spanning senior executive roles across digital, SaaS and e-commerce businesses.
