Essendon Football Club is saddened by the passing of Sebastian Rioli who suffered a heart attack at Royal Darwin Hospital yesterday. He was 58. 'Sibby' Rioli is the father of former Essendon champion Dean Rioli and the brother to the late VFL champion Maurice, who passed away in 2010.<BR>

'Sibby' Rioli is the father of former Essendon champion Dean Rioli and the brother to the late VFL champion Maurice, who passed away in 2010.
The wider Rioli footballing family also includes Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli. Sebastian's son, Ben, currently plays for Territory Thunder.
Essendon Football Club would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Rioli family during this challenging time.
At the start of last season, Tom Bellchambers had a meeting with James Hird where the new Essendon coach said he wanted Bellchambers to become the club's first-choice ruckman. More than a year on, that idea is beginning to firm in Bellchambers' mind.
